Kabbalah (translated from Hebrew as "receiving") is a science that represents the cause-and-effect order of the descent of the Higher Forces, subject to constant and absolute laws, which are closely interconnected and aimed at revealing the Upper Controlling Power (Creator) to man in this world.
Kabbalah originated about four thousand years ago (in the Babylonian period) on the territory of Mesopotamia, in the ancient city of Ur of the Chaldees. Abraham, one of the inhabitants of this city, discovered the opportunity to comprehend the area of the universe, inaccessible to man through the perception of five natural senses. Having mastered this science, he gathered a group of adherents and passed on to them his method of comprehending the part of the world hidden from people. Since then, this secret knowledge has long passed from generation to generation in a circle of a very limited number of followers. It was passed from mouth to mouth, from teacher to student.
For thousands of years, all kinds of misconceptions and stereotypes have accompanied Kabbalah. Consider the most common myths that prevent people from studying this science.
You cannot practice Kabbalah until you are forty years old. This kind of restriction existed only until the 16th century. It was established by Kabbalists in order to save those whose souls have not reached the level of development necessary for studying Kabbalah from harm. Therefore, only people who passed a strict selection and reached a certain age were accepted as students. But times have changed, and today the level of development of the soul is determined only by the degree of a person's aspiration to the knowledge of Divine truths. Therefore, now there are no restrictions on the study of Kabbalah. Even women and children can learn this science, and only lack of desire can become an obstacle to studying Kabbalah.
Kabbalah is the secret mystical teaching of Judaism. No, this knowledge is available to everyone. Once this science, indeed, was a secret, passed from mouth to mouth only in a narrow circle of followers. But at present, Kabbalah is spreading more and more, as people want to study it and apply the knowledge gained in practice.
Kabbalah is a religious teaching. No, Kabbalah has nothing to do with beliefs of any kind or religion. After all, its basis is a pure experiment that helps a person to master and more deeply comprehend the surrounding reality through the use of technical devices that expand the range of capabilities of the senses and allow to develop the "sixth sense". It is thanks to the help of this additional sensor that a person is able to sense the hidden part of the universe and, accordingly, study it. And in order to obtain the most reliable result, Kabbalists repeatedly repeat experiments and exchange knowledge with each other, like representatives of other fields of science.
Kabbalah will help you succeed in business. This is not entirely true. Kabbalah does not give and does not promise a person any tempting prospects in his everyday egoistic existence (a successful job in a prestigious job, a profitable marriage, get rich quick and power, etc.). But to understand the meaning of life, to help find the right way out of this or that situation, to learn to coexist harmoniously with the world, not only wanting to "grab" more, but also by giving, Kabbalah may well help.
If I start studying Kabbalah, I will get good health. Unfortunately, practicing Kabbalah (especially those aimed at satisfying egoistic needs) does not guarantee good health.
The Kabbalist can predict the future of humanity. This is not true. The future is determined by the free will of mankind, and the Kabbalist can only provide information about several options for development that depend on the type of interaction with nature and the universe chosen by people. But what this choice will be is unknown, because the Kabbalists do not undertake to make accurate predictions.
The essence of Kabbalah is rituals, ceremonies, meditative practices. No, neither ritual actions, nor rituals, nor external mechanical practices are used in Kabbalah, just as worship of various kinds of images (which are only applied material) is not used. After all, Kabbalah is the personal comprehension of the Creator by each individual person. You can advance along this path only through the desire to correct your intentions, and not through any mechanical actions or rituals.
According to Kabbalists, the use of amulets, holy water, red threads, etc. can improve a person's life. Completely misconception. After all, Kabbalah does not teach a person anything that happens in the material world, and therefore does not have the means to improve welfare and ensure external success. Kabbalah helps people in cognizing the spiritual world, and all methods designed to ensure a person's successful existence in this world are not true Kabbalah.
Conspiracies and amulets mislead a person: it seems to him that some supernatural forces are hidden in these objects, in fact, the whole effect is based only on the psychological impact on him. Therefore, the use of amulets, holy water, etc. initially prohibited. It should be remembered that amulets are only one of the ways to overcome psychological insecurity, and it is not they themselves that act, but the confidence of the person himself that a certain power is contained in the amulet. Since the person himself is not aware of this, a wrong idea of the spiritual is created. A person perceives it in the form of secret forces contained in the material objects of this world, in special connections of letters, in codes and spells. However, one should understand that it is the feeling of confidence that heals in this case, and not the Higher power.
It should be remembered that the Upper World exists according to the laws of the quality of bestowal, in it there are and act only forces and feelings without material vestments. A person can comprehend it by studying the original written sources, and not at all through the use of any cult objects.
While studying Kabbalah, I will have to leave my family and work. According to Kabbalah, a person should be closely connected with this world - work, have a family, live the life of society. This science provides a person with complete freedom of internal searches, without requiring him to long-term solitude or refusal to perform daily duties in the family and at work.
Kabbalah prescribes restrictions on receiving pleasure. A completely erroneous opinion - in the process of spiritual ascent, desire does not decrease, but increases. The only difference is that you will feel how to use this desire correctly, receiving more and more pleasure (which, in general, is the purpose of creation). It should be remembered that there is nothing shameful in pleasure, only the intention (application of desire) needs to be corrected, and not the desire itself. Moreover, Kabbalah does not prescribe any restrictions. After all, correction occurs as a result of the influence of the Upper Light on a person from within the person himself, and not through the introduction of violent restrictions from the outside.
